Wa East DCE Secures 22 Job Slots for Constituents

The Wa East District Chief Executive, Dr. Mahama Sulaiman Kandia Ewurah, has been working hard to promote sustainable development in the district, with a particular focus on addressing youth unemployment and illegal mining.

Recently, Dr. Ewurah secured 22 job slots for constituents through the Ghana Education Services. He acknowledged that youth employment is a major challenge in the district and is doing everything possible to get young people engaged in decent jobs.

In addition to his efforts to address youth unemployment, Dr. Ewurah has also spearheaded the government’s determination to introduce a community mining scheme in order to stop illegal mining (Galamsey). This initiative aims to promote responsible mining practices and protect the environment, while also creating opportunities for local communities.

Dr. Ewurah’s initiatives demonstrate his commitment to promoting sustainable development and improving the lives of constituents in the Wa East district. Through his leadership, the district is moving towards a brighter future with more opportunities for its young people and a more sustainable approach to resource management.
